Karen Perineau was born June 14th at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Barbados, to Lorenzo and Valentia Perineau. Being raised in a small, friendly community of Ravine Poisson, St. Lucia she learnt the values of communal living, sharing, respect and love.
Having felt her need for a Saviour she accepted Jesus as her personal redeemer at the age of twelve and joined the local congregation- Zion SDA otherwise known as L’Abayee. She began her service for the lord one year later as a Sabbath school secretary. From then forth she has strived to serve God and His church with excellence, working in various departments.
Her experience with denominational employment includes teacher at the L’Abayee SDA Primary School. While the stint was quite brief she values the experience and exposure in working for God’s people and the children.
From a tender age she believed her life had a special purpose, that she was destined to do something great for the Lord. In 2008 God revealed that plan when she began ministry at the recently restructured PrayzFM, as the afternoon’s announcer.
Karen loves the Lord and with Matthew 6:33 as her favourite passage for inspiration and reassurance, she forges on to live life in service to Him. Her ardent desire is to be useful in God’s service and to love His people.
